Background

CLEQM is a multidisciplinary organization dedicated to finding solutions to environmental problems. Our expertise cover environmental chemistry and microbiology, aquatic toxicology, water quality modeling, and risk assessment.
CLEQM is an advanced analytical facility supports the expansion of research activities in the Nile basin in addition to the new challenges of the national problems. CLEQM houses a full line of sophisticated analytical equipment operated by a team of expert researchers, specialists and technicians.
In order to cover all analytical needs, five departments were established: Inorganic Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, microbiology, eco-toxicology, soil and aquatic environment. A computer and information system supported by an advanced laboratory information management system (LIMS) is also in use. CLEQM is an internationally accreditted facility, obtained its accreditation from CALA (Canadian Association for Environmental Analytical Laboratories). The system insures a full scale enforcement of QA/QC program under ISO/IEC 17025 - 2017 general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.

  • Training Course NILE BASIN

A number of members of the Participatory Research Authority participated in the training course organized by the Drainage Research Institute entitled "Monitoring and Evaluation of Water Quality (theoretically and practically) from 3-14 / 3/2019 to a group of African trainees from the Nile basin countries in the Nile Valley Hall. And lectures entitled:
    • Sediment quality analysis.
    • Chemical Water quality analysis.
    • Microbiological Water quality analysis.
In addition to the trainees spend a full day labs for training on the latest technologies and devices in the field of analysis of the water environment.
