Quality Assurance and Control Department

In order to cover all analytical needs for CLEQM laboratory, five professional departments were established to cover all analysis needs for water quality monitoring are Inorganic, Organic, microbiology, Biology & ecotoxicology, and soil departments.  These departments are fully controlled by a full scale and strict enforcement of QA/QC program under ISO/IEC 17025-1999, general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.

Department Services:

  • The goal of the CLEQM quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) unit is to guarantee the generation of precise and accurate analytical data. Quality assurance involves the planned and systematic actions necessary to provide confidence in each analytical result.
  • The QA/QC concern about the system used to verify that the entire analytical process is operating within acceptable limits and Quality Control (QC) for the mechanisms established to measure non-conforming method performance.

CLEQM Accreditation

CLEQM is an internationally accredited facility, obtained its accreditation from CAEAL (Canadian Association for Environmental Analytical Laboratories) since 2005. It has been a member of the Canadian Association for Environmental Analytical Laboratories (CAEAL) since 2004 with membership# 3409. The system insures a full scale enforcement of QA/QC program under ISO/IEC 17025 -1999, general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. To provide accurate analytical data for its clients, CLEQM analytical services are controlled through the implementation of ISO 17025. All analytical methods are regularly checked to accuracy, precision and reproducibility by analysis of certified reference standards and participation in inter laboratory comparison programmes.
